Reframe & Resist: Decolonise Here and Now! is an exhibition and public seminar in Kuala Lumpur that asks what it means to live with the word “decolonisation” in the present – the project creates space for reflection, dialogue, and experimentation.The project brings together five Malaysian creative practitioners (Collective duo: Boon and Kai Ting, Anas Afandi, Roopesh Sitharan, Jakob von Klang and Aida Redza) alongside academic partners Prof Syed Farid Alatas (National University Singapore) and Dr Kate McMillan (King’s College London), seeded by The Living History Project and in collaboration with AsiaWE Foundation. Their practices intersect across artmaking, pedagogy, cultural memory, and community work, culminating in an exhibition, workshops, and a final publication.
