HIKAYAT:

Noor ‘Aishah Abdul Rahman (Noura AR)

3rd March 2026 - 31st March 2026

HIKAYAT – Noor ‘Aishah Abdul Rahman, an autobiographical exhibition of deeply personal body of works marking a powerful return to the contemporary art scene. Rooted in lived experience, spiritual reflection, and poetic sensibility, HIKAYAT is both a visual and performative expression - a voice drawn from the script of life itself. On view from 3 to 31 March 2026, the exhibition reflects a lesson, a test of life, a journey of self-redemption toward the Creator. It is a surrender of heart and self to Him.

Described by the artist as “a performance of voices and stories” HIKAYAT translates memory and history through perception of the eyes, voices from the heart, and graceful movements of hands that dance with clusters of colors and elements of nature. The works openly represent the unspoken voices within, revealing laughter and joy alongside hope, fear, anxiety, wounds and quiet resilience of a soul compelled to stand firm.

At its core, HIKAYAT is a lesson and a test of life a journey of self-redemption and surrender to the Creator. Each canvas becomes a page in the book of life, bearing witness to personal trials, devotion, love, and spiritual awakening. Through layered textures and emotive gestures, Noura AR invites viewers into an intimate dialogue between vulnerability and strength.
