RESONANCE OF
SOULS
6th June 2025 - 29th June 2025
In Resonance of Souls, Bayu Utomo Radjikin brings together the power of the human form and the emotional intensity of abstraction. Known for his bold figurative work, Bayu now explores the intersection between body language and emotional expression through dynamic strokes, colours, and textures.
Each figure in the exhibition is depicted in dramatic poses—silent yet deeply expressive. Surrounding them are abstract elements that don’t represent specific emotions, but rather convey a sense of energy, struggle, or inner conflict. The result is a visual conversation between the physical and the emotional, where the body becomes a vessel for the soul’s resonance.
Bayu keeps the figures neutral and anonymous, drawing from online references to avoid personal bias. Many are presented in idealised male forms, symbolising human effort, discipline, and the tension between inner and outer worlds.
With consistent formats and carefully considered compositions, Resonance of Souls invites viewers to experience not just what is seen, but what is felt. It’s a reflection on what it means to be human—where body and soul move in harmony, tension, and everything in between.
